• born and raised in dandelion
• the child of two parents who owned a restaurant. they were always fighting and so taeyeon had to play mediator a lot of the time.
• when taeyeon turned 8 years old, her parents divorced. however, since owning the restaurant was their dream, they continued to work together which didn't allow them to properly separate.
• taeyeon spent a lot of her time trying to make sure her. parents didn't fight, or that she didn't have to hear them, but eventually, she put her headphones in and drowned them out.
• in high school, taeyeon joined the little drama club of her school and practiced everyday. she practiced singing and dancing, acting when she could, all the while letting her parents fight.
• she ended up becoming the best in the school, which led her to be discovered after posting covers on youtube. she became a very popular singer both on the internet, and in their little town.
• after graduating high school, taeyeon left dandelion to go to new york.

ᴀᴄᴛ ɪ: ғᴇᴇʟs sᴏ ɴɪᴄᴇ**.**

• taeyeon went to a prestigious school in new york for the preforming arts. there she exceeded in not only musical theatre and acting, but became popular for her voice.
• she took up the name of aria: meaning melody, air. while her english was limited, she picked it up quickly.
• being in new york was difficult. taeyeon felt alone and afraid, but was scared to contact her parent's after they didn't want her to go. she wanted to put on a brave face for them and tell them that everything was fine. that was until she met him.
• he was her teacher. he was 10 years older than her, and she adored him. he was always praising her and always giving her help where she needed. while the other students thought he was playing favouritism, taeyeon's eyes were full of rose-coloured pink as she gazed upon the one man she truly felt understood her.
• after a successful performance, at the after-party, he told her he would bring her home. she didn't realize she was actually going to his home.
• she was confused and didn't know what was going on, but she wasn't allowed to tell anyone. she wanted to be his girlfriend, if they were going to do things like that, that's the least that could happen, right? no, she couldn't tell a soul. not even her parents.
• eventually, when taeyeon graduated, she broke up with him. he didn't seem to take it very hard, but taeyeon carried his smell on her for the rest of her life.

ɪɴᴛᴇʀᴍɪssɪᴏɴ: ʙʀᴇᴀᴋ ᴍʏ ʜᴇᴀʀᴛ ɪɴᴛᴏ ғᴏᴜʀ**.**

• though she broke up with him, his presence remained. rather, the lack of him remained.
• in the musicals she starred in afterwards, taeyeon fell in love with her male leads. it was inevitable, the way they treated her on stage. "aria", they would say, though taeyeon wanted to hear them say "taeyeon".
• the few relationships she had afterwards, she never felt that hole that was left in her chest be filled, sometimes they would actively dance around it. where taeyeon gave, they would take, or they would ignore, or they would try their best but taeyeon didn't want someone to make her heal that hole... she wanted someone to fill it.
• eventually, she did try to fill it.

ᴀᴄᴛ ɪɪ: ᴡɪsʜ ʏᴏᴜ'ᴅ ғᴜᴄᴋ sᴏᴍᴇʙᴏᴅʏ.

• the therapist told her that taeyeon had ptsd. she didn't believe her. but maybe she did. but she wasn't a soldier, how could she? but it made sense. but it couldn't be. but all the symptoms were there.
• after seeing that man again, taeyeon knew that her therapist wasn't just shitting with her.
• so, she went to whoever she could. she told. she said. "can you fire him? he did this to me."
• "okay. we will make sure you don't work near each other."
• "thank you- near each other?"
• "of course. we can't fire him though. he's the best vocal coach and director we got."
• taeyeon's name became known as aria, the girl who had a public breakdown after the last performance of her last musical. she hadn't been heard of since.

• taeyeon dropped the name "aria" and moved back in with her mother at 32. taeyeon's father passed a couple years ago, so it's only the two of them now.
• she tries to keep her head low, though she doubts most people here would know who she is anymore. she's a nobody. a ghost.
